Hi , this was our work for this week and it was very exciting to do also my favourite part about this weeks learning was the Writing because it was challenging and also fun because now I know how to make a Delicious Rainbow Pancake Cake !

Hi this was our reading for the week and it was so fun learing about different body parts and how they work my favourite part was the writing because while I was writing I learnt some new interesting facts about How tongues work !
Tongue Facts
Introduction:Hello, for this week's writing work we had to choose a part of the human body and I chose a Tongue because you use it alot when you speak and also your teeth help you speak as well ! Did you also know that the tongue is one of the most important parts of a person's mouth.
1.How long is an average tongue ?
Most tongue sizes are about 3 inches and an adult man's average tongue length would be 3.3 inches (8.5 cm) and an adult woman's average tongue length would be 3.1 inches (10.1 cm )
2.How many taste buds do we have ?
The average amount of taste buds would be about 10,000 and they are also replaced every 2 weeks or maybe a bit longer. Also as you start getting older you might start to lose your taste a bit that's why food would taste stronger for us than adults because sometimes a person's age there taste cells don't get replaced so that could mean that us kids have 10,000 taste buds and if your older the average taste buds would be about 5,000.
3.Are tongues as unique as a fingerprint ?
Did you know that everyone has a unique tongue print its like a finger print and our tongues have identifying marks left on our tongue like our fingerprints when ever we put our fingers somewhere it leaves a mark like our tongue but since our tongue is protected by our mouth it doesn't leave that much marks but you still put your tongue in A LOT of different places but you just don't know it most times so it does make a mark!

Should New Zealand open borders ?
Introduction: Should New Zealand open its borders ? In my opinion I think that we should not because then it could make more cases and you don’t want to make more cases or else more people will get sick!
I think that if we open the borders there should be a certain amount of people aloud on the plane because if there are heaps then it could spread more germs. I also strongly believe that if you are going to another country then you should get a Covid test just to make sure that you don’t go on the plane and then you make other people sick because if you get sick then you could spread your germs to other people that are close to you or near.
I strongly believe that if we open our borders then it could put the WHOLE COUNTRY IN RISK and if we keep the borders closed then it will probably make the cases Decrease.
Last but not least I think that the borders should be closed because it would make less cases and less work for people that have to deal with people that have Covid because most people that test Positive probably have a big family whitch that means that people will have to try their hardest to keep them alive for there family !
Conclusion:I think that we should’nt open our borders because then it will spread more germs and then it might make more cases for the scientists.

Is Kapa haka good for us
Introduction: For this week's writing we were told to discuss whether Kapa haka is good or bad. I agree that Kapa haka is good because….
Yes I strongly believe that Kapa haka is good for you because you get to learn new languages and moves. I also think that most people should do or join Kapa haka because it is really fun you get to learn stuff that you probably don’t already know. You might even get to make new friends that are a different culture to you or they might be the same culture to you but they just want to be your friend or maybe you want to be their friend.
Yes I agree that Kapa haka is good for you because you become more powerful and strong and you get to go to a lot more fun events and most of the events that you go to are actually really fun. I’ve been to a fun event before because I was in Kapa haka and we went to the Rangatahi festival and it was so fun. I got a little nervous because a lot of people were watching us perform and I don’t really like it when people watch me because I get shy but then heaps of people started to clap . They also cheered us on so then we weren't so nervous and then we became way more confident and started to become more powerful !
Last reason why I agree that Kapa haka is good is that it makes students more confident when they are performing or doing a dance and so many more students now feel MUCH MORE POWERFUL and are going to keep on going. also another important reason why Kapa haka is good is because it makes people feel strong and then they would want to do a TON more stuff that they might have not done before that they wanna learn or even give it a try and it doesn't matter if you fail because that means that you are trying harder and harder I like to set goals for myself so that I know to keep on trying even if I fail !
Conclusion: I think that you should join Kapa haka no matter what culture you are or if you don’t know anything about Kapa haka because the whole reason why you join Kapa haka is so that you can learn it and if you fail just try again until you think it’s good.

Introduction: In my opinion I think Sports is really fun I like to listen to music but I like Sports more. What do you prefer Sports or Music?
Sports is really fun to play and I think you should play it and sometimes when you play sports you make new friends and also learn new skills and tricks you could also play Sports in the holidays when your bored and your not that busy. I like to play Sports in the holidays and if I don't play much Sports then I would probably go outside on the trampoline if it's nice and sunny.
I strongly believe that Sports is good for you because you stay fit and healythy and strong you also get fit by running and tons more different sports I beleive that you get more healthy by eating fruits and vegetables most people eat fruits and vegetables because I like nice juicy apples.
Although some people wear whatever they want for sports I think they should have a certain outfit to wear so they know what sports team their in and so they know that there competing against someone because if someone was in a different team and you were playing netball you might give the ball to the other team because they will look the same with the same outfit on because since they are wearing the same thing as the other team then you won't know that there on the other team.
My conclusion: I think sports is better than music because it is fun and I think you should do sports daily to help you get fit.

Hi this is my Worlds Worst Child writing and I highly recommend NOT TO READ THIS!!!
PLEASE PLEASE DON”T READ THIS NO WHY ARE YOU READING THIS oh well. So it first started at bumblebee hive with tons of kids like Teller tra well she tells all the time and Sizziling Sarah when she gets mad she turns into a villain and she tortues people with her laugh. Oh I just forgot to tell ou who I am I’m Dumb Daniel and I am well… Dumb that’s wh I get bullied by people. Then the next da was our test so we still had 1 hour till school started so Dumb Daniel had to do something or else he would fail his test. So he rang someone to make a machine that turns everyone Dumb it took 20 minutes to make it because it was already done it just was dusty so I rushed back to School and turned everyone Dumb and me smart. The next day we got to see our grades so I turned my class smart again and me Dumb and I finnaly got a A+ out of the WHOLE CLASS!!! But I went to go ask my friends what the got and they got a F- then I noticed that I turned my friends Dumb too then the found out and said they didn’t want to be friends anymore. So he thought about it and then he said to his self “hmm maybe I should turn EVERYONE smart again and me! “ then Dumb Daniel noticed it doesn’t matter if your smart or dumb.
Introduction: Should we have Zoos ? are we ruining animals lives, Animals have been stuck in cages for such a long time and I think it's time for them to be fee because they are starting to get lonely and they don't have enough space in there cages.
Firstly I dissagree because animals bave been locked in cages and been taken fro different countrys and they are also getting taken from their home to make people that go to the Zoo interested.
Secondly I dissagree because how would you like it if you were taken from your country and put in a country you might not know and also taken from your Family/Home.
Thirdly I think Zoos are a bad place because they lock animals up for a very long time and I believe that Zoos need to start thinking about what there gonna do with the animals because most people are wasting there money to go look at animals but you can just go on google to look at the animals and you still don't have to pay to look.
My Conclusion: I overall think that we should'nt have Zoos because they are a bad place

ARCTIC WOLFS
Introduction:There scientific name is canis lupus arctos. Arctic wolfs are smaller then grey wolfs.
Arctic wolfs are predatory carnivores.Arctic wolfs hunt in packs for caribou and musk oxen. Also consume Arctic hares,Lemmings and other small animals.
Arctic wolfs inhabitat the arctic regions of North America and Greenland.
Arctic wolfs have white fur. And there coat is long and silky and they are also slightly smaller in stature.The average weight for female wolfs are about 60 to 80 pounds and male wolfs are 70 to 110.There average height is 26 to 32 inches (At the shoulders)
Question: Did you know that the inner part of the fur is waterproof?

Do you know how to infer ?Pygmy Seahorses.
There are seven different species of seahorses in the world. Pygmy seahorses are 2cm in size being one of the smallest types. Their scientific name is Hippocampus bargibanti. They can be found in the Indio-west pacific ocean.
Pygmy seahorses are very good at camouflage. They live in sea fan coral which comes in the colours orange and purple so they can camouflage and hide.
The baby pygmy seahorse starts brown and comes from the fathers broad pouch. The baby pygmy sea horse is very different to the adult pygmy sea horse. The female and male do the cortship dance to have a baby.
Pygmy sea horses eat tiny crustaceans and they are tiny things in the ocean like lobsters,Barnacles. There predators are big fish and sharks an also more.
The coral reef is getting destroyed by fishing nets,temperture,acidfication and more. This is so important because not all but some pygmy sea horses live there and some are actually dying.

Hi so today I will be telling you some interesting facts about Samoans. so then I will talk about what they like to eat. Then I will be talking about sports they like to play. Then I will be telling you some more interesting facts.So first of all I searched the web and found some things that Samoans like to eat and they like eating Sapasui (chop-suey) and Green bananas they can be roasted or boiled they also like Rice,Fish,Bread,Soups and more.Now i'm going to be talking about what sports they like to play so they like to play Rugby but some more popular sports they like to play are Netball and Soccer.They are all very interesting sports. And did you know that they live in a village and not a house. but in Samoan a village is there house.Some more very interesting facts are that tatooing is apart of there culture. And apparently there is only one city in Samoa. And in Samoa most people wear lavalavas.And also Samoa is actually a really lovely and peacful place once I went to Samoa and there was alot of Green Lizards there it was kinda fun seeing so much Lizards until we found some in the shower by are beds and in alot more places.

FACTS ABOUT RIPPER RUGBY
How to play ripper rugby you need to be wearing shorts a short sleeve so you dont get hot and some comfortable shoes so that you dont fall over because if you were wearing high heels then you need to get the tags from the umpire and then go onto the feild and then play and all you need to do to play is whenever someone from the opposite team is running with the ball then go and run after them and then rip there tag off and a good reason to play is you will make new friends and learn a new sport.

What would you change about our school.
I would want to change our Bathrooms because they are old and rusty. But first i would have to plan out how we would rebulid it .And then I would have to some how fine a way to fundraise the Money. And then once we have fundraised all the money. I would go and buy the same materials.
